This untitled portrait by Eleanor Constance (Nornie) Gude 1915–2002 was acquired by the Art Gallery of Ballarat in 2019.

The portrait was purchased for the Gallery's permanent collection and was included in the exhibition ‘Becoming Modern; Australian Women Artists 1920–1950’, held at the Art Gallery of Ballarat from 18 May to 4 August 2019.

The portrait is of the artist's mother, Stella Rehfisch, and was painted in 1939.
