An exquisite and atmospheric watercolour with mount under glass in a timber frame.
Signed and dated "J Mather 1.04" lower left. The artist's name and the title of the painting are inscribed on an auction label verso. An alternative title 'View of the Dandenongs 1904' is also written verso.
Image 49 x 34.5 cm / frame 74.5 x 61 cm.
There is some age toning, but the painting is otherwise in very good condition for a watercolour of this age. The frame shows minor wear.
