William Beckwith McInnes 'Kangaroo Ground' oil painting on board
William Beckwith McInnes 1889-1939
SOLD
Exquisite oil painting on board in a period timber frame.
Signed "McInnes" lower right. The title of the painting is inscribed verso.
Note: The title of the painting reads 'Kangaroo Ground' a suburb in Melbourne's north east. It is inscribed in pencil verso and has been partially over written with the word 'Kangaroos' presumably by another hand.
Image 28 x 33.5 cm / frame 40.5 x 46 cm.
The painting has been professionally cleaned and has a small area of fine craquelure in the sky upper centre but is otherwise in very good condition for an oil of this age. The frame is marked and worn.
